Common Errors in Product Sync to OnBuy & How to Resolve Them

Technical Detail Value Cannot Be Empty

This error typically occurs in two situations:

  1. Ensure that you have fully mapped the technical details in the Classification of your product. This can be done in the "Select Category" tab of your Classification, as illustrated below.

2. Confirm that the product in Brightpearl has values in the fields that are mapped to the technical details. For instance, if you have mapped Width, Length, Height, and any color option, then your product data in Brightpearl must include these values for the product you intend to create in OnBuy.

If values are missing, add them and then go to the Product Logs. Click on the "Re-sync" button for the affected product.

Default Image is Required

This error typically occurs in two scenarios:

  1. Ensure that you have mapped one of your product's custom fields (where the Image URL of the product is maintained) to the Image field of the OnBuy Product. You can review this mapping on the Sync Config page.

2. If the above mapping is complete, check another aspect in your Brightpearl. Make sure that the Product in Brightpearl has an image URL so that our system can use it to create the product in OnBuy.

Add the missing image URL and go to the Product Logs to click on the Re-sync button for the product where the image was added.

EAN Barcode 13-Digit Number is Required

This error arises when the Brightpearl Product record lacks the EAN or UPS number required for creating or listing a product in OnBuy. Please add the EAN, and then go to the Product Logs to click on Re-sync for the product for which you resolved the EAN issue.

Handling Time Must Be an Integer Value and Less Than or Equal to 10 Days

This error occurs when the Handling days value for a Brightpearl Product meets one of the following conditions:

1. The Handling time is set to more than 10 days.

2. The value entered is not a number.

3. Ensure that you enter whole numbers like 3, 4, 9, etc., and not decimal values like 3.5 or 4.5.
