Protecting Data in Transit – How Is This Achieved – API Only?

Safeguarding Data in Transit and at Rest with SSL Encryption and Encrypted Storage

Our approach to data security encompasses both data in transit and data at rest. While we need to store some transactional data for retrying failed syncs (if necessary), we ensure protection in both areas. Data in transit is secured using SSL encryption, with all API calls to/from Brightpearl (BP) and other third-party platforms occurring over SSL-secured URLs only. Regarding data at rest, our RDS instance drives are fully encrypted as well.
